Pension Truth Squad to Appear in Carson Wednesday Prior to Legislative Hearings
Firefighters, Teachers, Police to Share Stories, Dispel Myths

WHAT: Firefighters, law enforcement officers, teachers and other public employees from across the Southland - members of the statewide Pension Truth Squad - will stand together Wednesday morning in Carson for a press conference to set the record straight about attacks on their pensions. Retired and active public employees will speak outside, just before others are set to testify inside at the first hearing of the Joint Legislative Conference Committee on Public Employee Pensions. The Pension Truth Squad tour has appeared in 10 California cities and is sponsored by Californians for Retirement Security, which represents 1.5 million public employees and retirees.
